What a summer it has been! Work has been crazy and after my work day is over when I am not being a mom or a wife I am working on my photography. During the insanity I met Jennifer, an up-and-coming makeup artist, through mutual friends at the beach. We decided to team up for headshots I was planning the following weekend. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. Meghean our model was absolutely adorable. Her positive vibe set the tone for the session. Jennifer did a beautiful job and Meghaen's eyes looked STUNNING!Check out a couple of pics from the shoot below.

Nora, John, and the I Heart Faces Water Contest....

And how do these go together you ask? Let me explain....

I know this blog is in seriously sad shape. I have been so busy working on my new website and putting together a business that I have completely neglected my poor little blog. Well I hope to revive some new life into this right here, right now. I recently did some engagement pictures for my husband's dear cousin Nora and her then fiance now husband John. I have never done engagement pictures before and I was a little worried since I normally don't have to direct anyone and tell them what to do! I don't like to make things overly gushy. It works for some photographers but I just can't make it work. I like to keep it simple yet stylish. Let the love shine through!

Anyway, Nora has moved from Chicago to live with her husband in Texas. The first thing John's parents did when she moved there was to buy her a pair of real live cowboy boots. Boy did she protest this purchase. She would NEVER wear them!!!!

Low and behold 3 months later, our dear Nora is rocking those cowboy boots like a true Texan. I was so excited to see them on her. They made for some great pictures!

On I heart faces there is a "Water" contest. I thought of this one particular picture I took of Nora and John on the edge a fountain next to the Chicago Art Museum. I was seriously bummed that the fountains were not on yet. I had these images of the lovebirds laughing next to the flowing waters... But when I saw the amazing reflection in the dormant fountain I knew we had lucked out!

I hope you enjoy. And I promise promise promise that I will try to do better with keeping up on my dear little blogger.
